The globally operating Swiss family-owned business has over 12,000 employees and sales companies in over 40 countries.
We developed an analytical approach that we used to examine the communication across nine channels, in three markets and for six competitors, including Endress+Hauser. The communication channels included the website, social media and public relations. We evaluated each channel using six parameters, for example: Does the communication focus on brand messages? Is the communication targeted towards specific audiences? Does it enhance the brand profile? The actual analysis involved three steps: the evaluation of each individual channel, a market comparison and the benchmarking of all markets and media.
The results reveal areas where Endress+Hauser can improve their communication. They also include recommendations on specific steps the company should take in terms of strategic branding decisions as well as targeted investments in communication and brand development.
