The winners of the EU–Vietnam Sustainable Design Awards
21/01/26 We congratulate all the award winners of the EU–Vietnam Sustainable Design Awards (EVSDA), who were honoured at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City.
The EVSDA, an initiative of the EU Delegation to Vietnam in collaboration with Elle Decoration Vietnam, is dedicated to promoting sustainable design and creative innovation. It fosters exchange between European and Vietnamese designers and strengthens international networking within the design community. Under the theme »Design for Everyday Life«, outstanding projects were awarded in the categories of Architecture, Product Design, Communication Design and Innovation.
Our Managing Partner, Simon Betsch, served as an expert and jury member in the Innovation category. We are especially proud of the submission that received the Grand Prize in this category: The project »Developing green interlocking compressed stabilized earth bricks (CSEB) for eco-friendly housing« promotes low-carbon, affordable housing aligned with Vietnam’s net-zero 2050 goal. Using local soil and agricultural by-products, it replaces fired bricks, cutting CO₂ emissions and costs while supporting rural and ethnic communities.
