This year’s World Usability Day (WUD for short) is on 11 November 2021. The theme: »Design for our online world: Trust, ethics and integrity«.

10/11/2021 Together with Zürcher Kantonalbank we kick off the Swiss WUD at 9.15 a.m. with the keynote address: »The ethical compass of UX/UI design in digital transformation«. Authenticity and mindset have played a major role in effective brand management for years now, especially in the digital space. But how does morality impact how we manage brands? What happens to all of the collected data – and how much influence do users have over this?

A lack of digital self-determination, transparency and emotional security leads to uncertainty among users. Established UX/UI principles offer a noticeably better, more consistent customer experience across all touch points, but cannot completely eliminate the feeling of insecurity among consumers. For this reason, it is necessary to consider the aspect of digital ethics as an integral part of UX/UI principles.
