Münchner Wohnen Modern, approachable, and diverse – for the Munich Housing Association, we developed a brand identity that intuitively communicates its important role in preserving quality of life and future-oriented urban planning.

Visible proximity and diversity

For Münchner Wohnen – the newly founded company formed through the merger of two housing associations – we defined the brand values and the guiding principle: »So that Munich remains a city for everyone.«

The key brand attributes proximity and diversity are clearly reflected in the design: a friendly, »non-bureaucratic« colour palette and the variable interplay of rounded and angular shapes create a contemporary, approachable identity that expresses openness and inclusion.

Ease of use was also a central focus. The design system allows for seamless application across all media while offering a wide range of possibilities, all held together organically by the principle of self-similarity.

Brand and connection perfectly aligned

With a distinctive illustration style, we created another way for Münchner Wohnen to express warmth and approachability. All elements are derived from the characteristic shapes of the logo – and presented in the brand’s fresh and vibrant colours. Open lines and simplified forms enhance the sense of accessibility, making the depicted scenes instantly recognisable and easy to engage with.

With nearly 1,200 employees, more than 71,000 company-owned apartments housing over 150,000 tenants, and close to 1,000 commercial units – these figures define Münchner Wohnen. Its mission: to ensure good, safe, and affordable housing in Munich.
