First Montblanc job for KMS TEAM

5/30/2022 The team led by Jürgen Adolph and Alexandra Sobota produced a corporate design video for Montblanc under KMS TEAM’s new umbrella. As a result, the Düsseldorf branding experts convinced the client to work with them once again after years of trusted support.

We took this opportunity to bundle new ideas with creative ones from the past to create a responsible branding system that we can use across all touch points.

Fabian Kredig, Head of Brand Communication Montblanc, said: »We’ve known the team for 10 years now and appreciate their expertise in the luxury segment, which shines through in all the work they do for us. It was immediately obvious who should do this job.«

The video visualises the overarching idea of the new branding approach »separate but together«. It gives people the opportunity to experience the luxury brand’s updated logo and shows new, flexible ways of working with the world-renowned wordmark and symbol.

Jürgen Adolph, Creative Director KMS TEAM, explained: »Up until now, the branding was applied a little too strictly in the communication and signage. But we can see many versatile logo applications throughout Montblanc’s history, especially in product branding. We took this opportunity to bundle new ideas with creative ones from the past to create a responsible branding system that we can use across all touch points.« New projects are already in the planning, including the continued digitalisation of the brand and the creation of a brand portal.

The Düsseldorf-based team of strategy and branding consultancy KMS TEAM developed several Montblanc brand assets, including the award-winning type – recognised with Gold from the ADC, the Corporate Design Award Grand Prix and a Red Dot Award. The team has supported many clients in the luxury and lifestyle segment over the years, including Porsche Design, Strenesse and A. Lange & Söhne.

Montblanc is a leading manufacturer of exclusive writing instruments, watches, jewellery and leather goods. The Hamburg-based company has been part of the Swiss Richemont group since 1993.
