SOFT & HARD

The 20th edition of Heidelberg University’s research magazine

11/14/2022 Ten years ago, we and the team at Heidelberg University had a great idea. We wanted to report on the university’s cutting-edge research from a unique perspective and allow local, national and international readers to share in it.

The result is a research magazine that is consistently setting new standards in academic communication – and receiving multiple awards as a result. It links the university’s latest research with societal topics that impact everyone. Readers gain fascinating insights into the broad range of research projects taking place at Heidelberg University. And all of this is presented in an outstanding layout with large-format images that captivates everyone who turns the first page.

The 20th issue focuses on the opposites SOFT & HARD, with stories ranging from malaria research to work conducted by the newly founded Engineering Sciences department. The articles examine such topics as how personalities develop in adulthood, accepting compromises in the world of politics, new biomaterials for joint recovery, and mutual dependencies between hardware and software.
